The journal is published by Non-Commercial Partnership “National Association of Mass Media Researchers” in cooperation with the Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

NAMMI (National Association of Mass Media Researchers) stands for the professional association of Russian media and communication researchers. It was founded in 2011 in Russia. The primary goal of this organization is to provide a forum where Russian researchers and other scholars involved in communication and mass media research can meet and exchange information and documentation about their work.

Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University was founded in 1947 at the Department of Philology of the Moscow State University. In 1952 it was reorganized as an independent Faculty of Journalism. Today it is considered to be the leading institution for journalism and mass communication education in Moscow, Russia and CIS countries.
